This post is about Nokia Lumia 520 touch screen not working problem solution. If the touch stops working on your phone it can render useless to you so I decided to make this post for those unfortunate people who are having this problem.

Touch panel in Nokia Lumia 520 is not very strong so if too much pressure is put on the phone it can damage the touch screen to the point of it not working at all. If that happens there is no proper way to repair it, you have to buy a new touch panel from the market and replace it with the old one.

If even that does not work then it is possible that your touch panel connector is damaged. The touch panel connector is soldered on the motherboard, change that as well. If by any chance you have damaged the prints of the touch panel I have marked all of its jumper ways in this diagram.

3rd, 4th, 5th and 8th legs are marked with black line and are ground. First one connects to R1404, second one connects to C1356 & L1352. 6th leg connects to R1403, 7th leg connects to R4950, 9th connects to RR4951 and finally the 10th leg connects to C1357 & L1355.

Nokia Lumia 520 Network Problem Ways Solution

In Nokia Lumia 520 network problem is mostly likely caused by the disconnected antenna. If the antenna has a bad connection to the mobile phone’s motherboard it can stop your mobile from getting any signal at all.

Bad connection between antenna and Nokia Lumia 520 motherboard can happen because of a number of reasons. Most likely something like this happens if your mobile phone is dropped or mishandled in any other way.

There are three antenna connector springs on the back side of the motherboard and I have all of their jumper ways in this diagram. Make those jumpers if your mobile phone’s antenna is in working condition but still not getting any signals, hopefully your problem will be solved.

Nokia Lumia 520 Earpiece Ways Problem Solution

Earpiece or as some people call it speaker is placed on the top front of Nokia Lumia 520. It is used for listening phone calls nothing else. All the other sounds come out of IHF speaker which is placed on the back bottom of the mobile phone. So if you can’t listen to the person on the other end of a phone call unless you open up the loudspeaker option from within the phone, your earpiece is faulty and you need to change it.

Earpieces are fragile parts and any kind of mishandling can cause them to break down. Normally changing Nokia Lumia 520 earpiece is pretty straight forward since it is not soldered on the motherboard all you have to do is remove the old one from the external casing and place a new one in its place. Nokia Lumia 520 Mic Problem Ways Solution

In Nokia Lumia 520 microphone is soldered on the motherboard. Mic is responsible for sending your voice to the person on the other end of a phone call, recording sounds while making videos or simply using voice recording apps. So if the other person can’t listen to your voice during a phone call you are going to have to change the microphone with a new one.

Changing Nokia Lumia 520 mic can be a little tricky. It is soldered on the motherboard so if you remove it remember it’s placing position and put the new microphone the same way the old one was. If you have broken prints of the microphone connection points I have marked all of them in the diagram below.

 1st leg of the mic is marked with green jumper line, it is connected to the jumper point number J2168 otherwise it is ground. The 2nd leg is marked with red line and is connected to the jumper point number J2166. The 3rd connection marked with purple color, it is connected to the jumper number J2167. The 4th and the final leg is marked with pink jumper line, it is connected to C2136 & C2175.

Nokia Lumia 520 LCD Connector Problem Ways Solution

 In Nokia Lumia 520 LCD is connected the the motherboard with a flex cable connector. If your LCD is not working, you obviously have to check if a faulty LCD is not causing this problem. If the LCD is okay then check the LCD connector.

LCD connectors in Nokia Lumia 520 or any other mobile phones for that matter are a little fragile. They can get damaged because of many reasons. Most of the times LCD connectors get damaged because of poorly connecting and disconnecting LCD or if your mobile phone get water damaged they can easily get rusted and as soon as you unplug the LCD they crack.

How to Soft Reset Nokia Lumia 610C Guide

If you have a stuck Nokia Lumia 610 or Nokia Lumia 610C this how to reset guide can be helpful to you. First thing you need to know is that you should never reset your smartphone’s OS unless there is no other way to solve your problem. Because sometimes you can damage your phone even further. Only Hard reset your phone when there is absolutely no other other way

 This guide works for both Nokia Lumia 610 and Lumia 610C, both of these mobile phones are practically the same. Okay so first step if your phone is stuck and is not responding to any of your commands simply do a power reset. To do a power reset pull the battery out of your mobile phone, wait for a few seconds and put the battery back in. Turn on the mobile phone and hopefully your phone will start working again.

How to Test and Diagnose Problems in Nokia Lumia 610C

In Nokia Lumia 610 and Lumia 610C there is an extremely useful hidden feature that most of the users don’t even know about. It is called On-Device Diagnostic Tool or ODDT App for short. This tool let’s you test and diagnose everything there is to test in your mobile phone. Like if you are having sound issues you can use this app to check whether it is your phone’s software problem or the hardware is causing it.

In other words it let’s you completely test out your Nokia Lumia 610C and Lumia 610 parts including all the sensors, speakers, mic, camera and vibration. It can be very useful to people who want to buy a second hand phone. You can just start the ODDT app and test everything before paying.

To install On-Device Diagnostic Tool application type ##634# on your phone’s on-screen keypad. A new app named Diagnostics will appear in your apps list.

 Warning! Always remember to uninstall the ODDT app from your phone once you are finished testing your phone. To uninstall the application tap and hold Diagnostics in the apps list and then tap uninstall.

Now as soon as you tap on Diagnostics app in your Nokia Lumia 610 and Lumia 610C you will see a Disclaimer screen. This basically states that this app is designed to troubleshoot some potential issues with your mobile phone. The content and the results of this app are not necessarily 100% correct and there might be some false positives or errors in the results and you should not rely on these tests completely. Then it will ask you to Accept those terms. So if you agree to those conditions tap Accept and start the app to simply press the left arrow Back Key to close the app and uninstall it by Tap and Holding on Diagnostics app then tapping on uninstall.
